Georgia O'Keeffe:
Georgia O'Keeffe was born on November 15, 1887, the second of seven children, and grew up on a farm in Sun Prairie, Wisconsin. As a child she received art lessons at home, their abilities were soon recognized by his teachers and was encouraged by those teachers during the years she attended school. In 1905, O'Keeffe had finished his studies in high school and had already decided that he would devote artist's career.
Joan Miró:
Miro was the son of a watchmaking father and a goldsmith mother, he was exposed to the arts from a very young age. There have been some drawings recovered by Miro dating to 1901, when he was only 8 years old. Miro enrolled at the School of Industrial and Fine Arts in Barcelona until 1910; during his attendance he was taught by Modest Urgell and Josep Pascó.
