All Saints Campaign Video
- From the All Saints website, underneath this video they have stated that:
Autumn 2012 witnesses the release of our very first campaign film. Featuring an exclusive remix of the Alpines' track 'Got Me Wrong', this inspirational video, set in our home town of London, reflects the creativity and ingenuity of the AllSaints direction this season.
This campaign video was quite interesting, and has some really intriguing and varied shots. The clear interest in this video was showing the brand.
I thought that this particular video was showing that of the iconic London landmark of St. Paul's Cathedral, and the camera is staying still while the man walking towards of the camera is quite intersting , as it shows the contemporary side to the brand 'All Saints' also, it shows the teenage angst which comes under teens and young adults in this day in age.
I like the way that this video starts off with, St. Paul's Cathedral with a young adult walking towards the camera with his skateboard, I liked this because it resembles the contemporary feel to young adults and teens. Then it the camera stays where it is again, yet the man has moved quite further into the shot as he has moved and the camera has stayed on him for that period of time. Then the camera moves to a different location, this time it moves to a young male again, and he's painting, we then see the painting he has been working on with his back towards the camera then it moves to the bucket of acrylic paints maybe. Later on in the video, maybe 3 seconds later, the boy has changed position and we see him painting on the camera lens. I liked this because it looked again, quite contemporary and has an edgy sort of feel towards it.
We also see a girl applying lipstick, this to me leaves with another edgy feel, however it is subtle as it's obvious that for this type of video, they're off to a fashion shoot or something along them lines. The way the camera has been placed it quite unique as the camera it pointing to the mirror, so we have a full shot of the models face. It then changes to another girl who is in a dance studio, I quite liked this because again it's another contemporary feel which is bringing in other teens to know that they're video is for people like them, and that the video is quite modern. I like the way that at 00:21 we see the first man with the skateboard, this time he has got onto the skateboard, and when he pushes off with his foot I think he's in a hurry to be at a specific place, at a specific time.
Then at 00:22 we see, someone using a mechanical tool which gives off sparks which come into focus near to the right hand side of the tool. I quite like this because it is rather interesting and has a good use of the bokeh effect too, I think that this is really nice and again has a good use of the tools which to me represents the industrial revolution.

All Saints Campaign Video; Autumn Winter Collection
- From the All Saints website, underneath this video they have stated that:
Provenance and heritage are key to this season's collection, but to be able to subvert traditional fabrics and styles we first need to understand them. That is why we work with British mills, family-run companies with generations of experience. We study extensive archives of military textiles and re-work original uniforms into contemporary silhouettes.
This video was a rather nice and intriguing video. In the beginning, it starts off with you seeing what it is their campaigning - the Autumn Winter Collection of 2011, and then it goes straight into seeing a young adult not really focused on him, yet he eventually comes into focus which is quite nice as it is varied. Also, the fact that they had used black and white for this campaign it quite nice, as it shows a modern classy way to promote things. I really think that it being in black and white is really eye catching and it useful.
I also like the sound track they put in with this video, it is really dramatic and fits in well with the video; I think that is works perfectly and deserves credit, where credit is due.
In conclusion, I feel that with this video they wanted to show the clothing in an artistic manner and this is how they had portrayed it. It's a classy way and will draw in more / new customers as with this video, you see the clothing up close and you get a sense and feel of the clothing which is a nice touch. I also feel that All Saints are showing their skill with this video, as you see denim clothes which is contemporary at the moment, knitted jumpers are essential for the up-coming winter months therefore, they need to sell these items. also their promoting jackets; leather and cotton,
I quite like how edgy this video is, as the young adult who puts on the jumper is wearing a silver band (ring) and with, what looks to be tattoos on his knuckles which adds a sense of edge and maybe rebelliousness which is really interesting.
