Final Outcome:
Here is all the little parts of my final animation in word form.
The Tale of The Three Brothers:
The scene that I chose to animate was a scene from Harry Potter and The Deathly Hallows, Part One, which was called The Tale of the Three Brothers. I kept my animation close to the real animation in the film because I wanted it to be significant and for people to realize that just because it was in Harry Potter and most people don’t like the franchise, doesn't mean you can’t like the animation.
This animation was brought to life by the use of typography, sound production, and individual drawings. My opening scene starts off with Emma Watson saying these words “There were once three brothers, who were travelling along a lonely, winding road at Twilight” - I kept the same background throughout each component of my animation, and also the same border to make it seem more eye-catchy and make it hold you there. The words for each component are on shadow because I wanted that more eerie feel towards the way that Emma is saying them, she says them with grace and yet it is very daunting and the sound of her voice is really what makes this animation work, with the other components bringing it to life.

- I decided to create my animation by the use of both digital and drawing aspects. I did all the typography work through Adobe Illustrator, and After Effects. The drawing aspect is where I drew significant images on paper, scanned them into the computer and edited them in Photoshop.
- For my drawings I simply drew out each individual component, these where: The three brothers,
The Bridge,
The hooded figure,
The final piece at end
The Border.
- I then scanned each drawing into the computer, opened up Photoshop and then I changed the darkness up so that it was quite powerful and it was very noticeable. Then for my first scene which I have mentioned above, I imported my border into my composition and changed the blending layer for it to give that blue tint; I rather liked this effect as it looked really well with the animation from everything, quite dark to this subtle blue tint which I thought looked very nice. I also imported in my drawings of ‘the three brothers’ then I made them into a 3D layer and changed the blending mode to multiply and then you could see that it was a shadow, I think that the shadowed images looked far better than the originals because it gave it that certain edge for it to be a dark animation. I then carried on doing this for the next few images needed on my animation, more about that later.
- The sound that I used was the actual audio from the video clip on YouTube, and footsteps. I did try to get a ‘treacherous water’ sound however; it did not work right in my animation part on After Effects.

- Here is a photograph of my first idea generation mind map, here I was asked to write down all the films in which I have watched recently and that are my favourite. Then I would then decide which one to re-create. The films in which I have enlisted are in my 'Primary Research' page. I circled Harry Potter because it was a definite film which I wanted to re-create. I also happened to circle The Little Mermaid as well, because I quite liked a few particular scenes in the film, I have listed these onto my Idea Generation page also.
- I then realized about MATRIX later on in my research, and decided one creating a page about it and which scenes I would like to recreate from it, this was a late comer onto my Idea Generation.

The Procedure:
- Below is a screen shot of all the components, in which I have used to create my animation in their chosen folders.
The majority of these were from Adobe Illustrator, as this was the program in which I created the typography.
I also have taken screens shots of my drawings, which have been said above and even the photo shopped versions. I have the page background as well on these shots underneath.

Here I located where all my specific folders were and took a screen shot, these are the main body of my animation.
Here are the screen grab components from the Illustrator file, underneath are the ones of them out of the folders.
This is were all my typography came in, this is what the program for Adobe Illustrator looks like. I thought that this program was pretty straight-forward to use and to understand. The last eight illustrator files are of the book animation, title I wasn't sure of how I should make it look so I did various options and took a screen shot of each to have as evidence.

This is were the main design for my drawings came into play, I simply adjusted the colour of the drawings to make them more noticeable and that they would be easy to see within the animation. The top two is a trial for my book at the beginning of the animation, I took them as evidence as I decided against of having the book at the beginning of my animation, as it was too distracting.
Here are the screen grabs of scanned in from file
This is the scanned in drawings which I have needed to be able to have them within my animation, without this I wouldn't have been able to create an interesting animation. I drew all of these by hand so it would have had a raw feel towards them and that it would come across within the animation itself.
Here are the screen grabs components from Font
Here I went onto www.dafont.com, this is where I found some reasonable fonts to see what I should / could have my writing in. The font plays a massive part in my animation so I would've needed something that would make you feel something and that would come into context of the animation.
The font however, was for the book that I created in after effects however I did decide not to have it in my animation at the beginning. The font chosen for the book was 'One Two Trees'.

This is where I created my animation from various compositions, images, text and audio. I started off with many compositions then once I had finished the last part of the animation, I had bring them all into one composition to do this I just had to drag one composition onto where I wanted it. This was really easy and was pretty understandable.

Here are the screen shots from the images on my desktop
Here is the main part of where you see the blood splattered page texture for one scene in my animation. I also had a few other page backgrounds and I chose which one would be more suitable for my animation, this was the 3rd screen shot.
The second and seventh screen shot is of the book for the title sequence. The second is of the cover straight off of the internet, however the seventh is when I gave it a different colour for the cover, I did that in Photoshop as I didn't think that a red cover wouldn't be suitable for the title sequence for this particular animation.
