Brief:
(Briefly) In this project I will be looking at Vanity, I will also be looking at "In Vogue: The Editor's Eye' which was a TV programme on the Sky Atlantic Channel a while back. I shall also look at the different fashion magazines out there like: Elle, Vanity Fair and Stylist. I will also need to research different photographers, and typographers. I am also looking at cinemagraphs and typography books.
The last thing I need to explore is both sides of the argument of Vanity, where people aspire to be beautiful and the opposites to this argument where people from different backgrounds get sucked into the dramatic lifestyle then they would maybe have to suffer with the consequences of having one or maybe all of these things: eating disorders, drug, medication and / or alcohol abuse and also having plastic surgery or having too much to look like these celebrities.
For my final outcome, for this project is going to be film based. I was thinking of creating a moving magazine cover. I would want to have around four people to produce this outcome, as I would like to have roughly four different covers. With the composition of these covers, it would really depend on which cover I would like them to do, whether it is a head and shoulder shot, or full length, or maybe even parts of their faces.
I would start by creating this moving magazine cover by taking a video of someone in portrait mode with his or her head and shoulders, and I would want them to act quite vain. Then in After Premiere, I would import my video in and I would then export just a second at the beginning of the video an image so that I can make the photo last for around 10 seconds. This would then make the audience hopefully; think that they were just looking at an ordinary image. Then it would start to change rather quickly or slowly, for it to show the video of the people I had chosen.
I will be doing this for four covers so I would need a varity of different poses and different shots for these.
I have taken this and adapted it from one that I saw on YouTube, it was a girl with her hair blowing, and it was an image at the start of the video then after a few seconds more, the image came alive and you saw her hair blow with the wind from a fan and then she moved her face. After a while it stopped, and was an image again. – I found this to be a really interesting video and really inspired me to try and accomplish maybe someone talking in with it as well.
I will also be having typography in this for the use of cover lines and the masthead for the magazine cover, which I will create in Photoshop. I will be looking at the typographers and typography in magazines already and how they are structured. I will also bring in maybe moving text too, with perhaps a still image on the screen to add a bit of depth.
The technical skills, which I will pick up on, are lighting effects: I would need this to make sure I get the best possible looking video that I can achieve. I will also be looking at the editing side, ie Photoshop, After Effects, Illustrator, and Adobe Premiere.
I would need to focus more on Premiere so that I can put all the components together to create the final outcomes.

Evidence I will produce:
- Research from a range of sources, including: Books / Magazines and the internet
- Research theme / subject
- Write my own brief to learning outcomes
- Explore a variety of techniques and processes
- Produce notes on photographers and typographers
- Plan using idea generation including storyboarding and editing plans / Mind Maps
- Develop and communicate a series of ideas for my theme / subject
- I will produce a message that will be presented through film, original concept was on Vanity
- A final outcome, with the use of photographs and short film
- Present my final outcome in an exhibition
- Produce an evaluation that examines the strengths and weaknesses of your work, taking feedback from an audience
