Photoshop Samples:
Here are a few photographs which I have edited in Photoshop. I have created displacement maps, and gradient maps.
Here I used layers, and gradient maps. To create a new adjustment layer where:
it comes up at the side and you can adjust the levels, curves, exposure and vibrancy and also the hue / saturation.
I quite like the way this photo came out. I like the way the gradient map gave the photograph a raw edge.
To create this image I had to desaturate the whole picture and change the contrast and brightness.
Next I had to add the texture and change the colour of it to get it to the right look for my image. To do this I just copied and pasted it into my image. Then on a new layer I had to paste in my other texture to create
a foreground onto the palace type building.

Here I flipped my face in half to give this effect. I then desaturated the photo, and I added a rust background
I quite likt the effect it gave at this point in the editing. However, I had to change how bright the rust background was
as at first it was quite bright, so I had to dull it down and again I was pleased with the results.

For this we had to create our own 'This is Tomorrow' piece
I could use any images that I found (Google)
I used selection tools and the transform scale and edit transform and also the distort and perspective tools.
I had to start of with a basic empty room and add my chosen imaged in via copy and paste
I chose: Daniel Radcliffe cut out, Harry Potter posters and The Who, Wolf, Tiger, TV, and a rug
I used the selective tool to get rid of the background so that they would fit in well with it's surroundings
In the end I was quite pleased with what I had created and it look at if it genuinely fitted in to that certain room.
The ideas I had for this were:
Harry Potter; Daniel Radcliffe
Retro
Dark Room
Wolf
Owl
Windows
Tiger
Snake
Books

Here is my Tim Marrs style piece.
For this I had to create a college type piece dedicated to Tim Marrs' idea
For this I chose Memphis, Tennessee of Elvis Presley. These are all found of Google
and I had to use different layers for this particular idea.
For this I started of with Graceland, his beautiful decadent home. Then I added in the Memphis
KHZ part and for that I copied it off from Google and pasted it in, then I had to alter the image size.
I then had to cut away the back ground with the brush tool on black. I next added in
Elvis' face again using the same format, I then thought about changing the opacity down to make it look
more interesting and appealing.
Afterwards, I added in the Sun Studio logo, as this was were his record label. Again, I did the exact same thing
and changed the opacity.
I quite like this image as it looks really interesting and I genuinely like the appeal it gives.
