Portrait Animations:
Here I was asked to create a series of animations through the aim of "Heroes and Villains"
For this set of animations I took regular images using an ordinary stills camera. Then I opened up Photoshop and quickly edited the same photo into black and white then, gave it a matte black effect which seemed to look quite interesting to me. Then I copied the layers and then I went to Window, and found Animation and ticked it. This was so that I got the correct window for when I got round to building my animation together.

The image above is how I first started off. I edited my chosen image and copied the layers, this was to finally give me the effect of my eyes gradually getting black and then shrinking back down to normal size. I thought that this would be a pretty good animation for my starting point. I think that in the end I will look quite Alien like, and have a drama towards it.
For the above and below images, this was when I had to add in the black alien looking eyes. On the image above this was when my eyes are just starting to turn black. Then the image below is when my eyes are just about getting to midway through with the black paint tool.
For the image above I added in the effect of my eyes through the copied layers and set up the Animation Frames bar which as shown above. I set frame 5 onto 0.5 seconds to gradually make the eyes appear for the desired amount of time needed to make the effect look plausible. I am pretty impressed with my final Heroes and Villains animation, especially for my first attempt I am pleased with the results.

Second Portrait Animation:
Here is my second attempt at an animation in Photoshop.
For this particular animation, I again used images taken from an ordinary stills camera and edited them into Photoshop to create the animation.
I again changed the backgrounds into black and white and made the effect like before as a matte black look, which I quite liked.

Here is my layers palette which lets you see what I had to do to these selections of images, I added layer masks and changed the brightness and contrasts, and also changed the hue and saturations down to give it that matte look effect, which to me is quite striking.
Here is the animation frames bar, this shows you how many frames I have and how long each frame takes. All of these frames are at 0 seconds for them to play really fast and quite sharp. I quite like how this animation turned out, except I should have tried to get the same facial expression each time. However, I am pretty impressed with this desired result. Below I present you with my second animation:
