Technical Skills:
Here I present you with all my technical skills which I have developed in different programmes.
Director:
Here in Director, I have learnt how to create simple, to various strengths of complexity. I have learnt how to create a film loop, and how to create key frames whilst in this program, for my animation to make it move. I have also learnt how to insert sounds into my animations which was needed in some cases. When I was in Director I was asked to use a panoramic image as a background for one of animations, I made that go more slowly whilst playing my animation which looked rather interesting and it was rather quick to do. I have also explained what I did for this particular animation on Animations then Walking Man Animation.
After Effects:
Here for After Effects I was shown to use this particular program and I found quite interesting a bit better than Director. After Effects has everything there in one place whereas Director has two different windows up at the same time. I found it quite easy to make key frames and how to change the shape of certain images and now I can make these; Rotate, Scale, Position, and change the Opacity down or up. I was shown Director first and I knew a little bit of what did what, and how to do most of the stuff too, just I think I’d need a bit more practice and then it would be quite easy for me. I have done some animation in After Effects, you can find them under Animations tab, then going onto After Effects Animations à then choosing either Caterpillar or getting to understand After Effects.
Photoshop:
Here in Photoshop I have been asked to create series of animations using different sets of portraits. I found this quite interesting. I also found it quite easy as I had to import my images in Photoshop then decide how to create my specific animation. I had to use adjustment layers, to decide which order I would want my images to be in, and then I had to decide which images I didn't want in that particular animation. I had to move each one according to this strategy and to also make sure that they were in the correct place each time, every time. To do this, I simply lowered down the opacity on my images so I could see through them and then I could easily place where the images were meant to be in the correct position. You can see this animation under the Animation drop down box at the side and then go to Portrait Animations.
Illustrator:
Here in Illustrator, I have only recently touched this program for the Kinetic Typography part in my After Effects' animation. I was able to create a set of writing with a certain style and look for my chosen audio file for it to play along with the animation with the words flying across on screen. My Screen Shots below will justify this:
